Have you ever slept comfortably on a sofa bed with a pull-out metal frame?

The quality of sleeper mattresses has dramatically improved over the past 15 years.

Prior to that time most sleeper mattresses were basically slabs of foam that were 6″ thick or less.

Most sleepers with pull out metal frames are currently available with comfortable innerspring mattresses.

There are also foam and memory foam mattresses up to 10″ thick as well as very comfortable high quality air mattresses for sleepers.

Only a small percentage of pull-out sleepers currently use the thin foam mattresses that used to make sofa beds so uncomfortable.

The improvement in sleeper mattresses over the past decade is part of an overall improvement in mattress quality and comfort during that same period.
