I purchased a Maverick 6 piece power sectional 2 weeks ago that has a defective recliner. I can’t find the manufacturer so that I can look at warranty and return policies. Can you help?

The first thing you need to do is to contact the retail store (or online retailer) that you purchased the furniture from.

The retailer’s warranty is the one that counts. The manufacturer’s warranty will stipulate that you need to go through the retailer for any warranty claims.

Make sure you document all contacts in writing. If you speak with a customer service person, get the name and other contact information.

Send an email to the person you spoke with, confirming your understanding of what they said they would do and when they will do it.

Establishing the dates of contact and what was said can become important if service becomes delayed or disputed.
