In one of your articles Is Rubberwood Considered a Good Wood to use for Furniture? you indicate that rubberwood is a good furniture wood.

In my opinion nobody should buy rubberwood furniture. The surface cannot be made to look good and it is difficult to keep clean.

Answer

Typically, rubberwood furniture is given a heavy opaque finish. If it receives a transparent finish, allowing the grain to show through, it will not look good.

Also, rubberwood is used primarily for small, low cost occasional pieces. It is not suitable for high quality or large bedroom/dining room case pieces.
