Webbing used on lower priced seating “stretches.” Cheap stretchable webbing stapled into softwood or engineered wood frames can break or sag within 5 – 10 years. Webbing used on high quality seating does not stretch. Top quality, non-stretchable webbing, stapled into solid hardwood frames will hold up for 20 years & more.
IKEA is an excellent example of “cheap furniture” designed for manufacturing simplicity, production productivity, raw material cost and transportation efficiency.
Warranties are legal documents, created by attorneys, to protect their clients. Those clients are the furniture companies or the insurance companies that cover extended warranties. They are not written to protect consumers!
Most faux leather is highly durable. Bonded leather’s flaws did not become apparent until 2 – 3 years after its introduction in 2010.
Theoretically, you could stuff loose fiber into the cushion cover, but the couch cushions will look lumpy & uneven, and could easily be even less comfortable than they are currently.
Hooker also owns the Bradington Young line of reclining furniture. BY is made in the USA. Braddington Young and MotionCraft are of comparable quality.
Buying a mattress topper is an inexpensive way of fixing an uncomfortable mattress without going through the entire process of purchasing a new mattress. Some people purchase mattress toppers to improve old beds that have lost their resiliency (ability to bounce back) over time.
Reclining sofas in this price range have the shortest lifespan and highest complaint rate of any type of furniture.
Feathers are a bird’s outer layer of the wings. The feathers protect the softer down underneath. The down provides insulation and warmth for the bird.
Compared with other Asian brands, Cheers makes high quality reclining furniture.
The time & cost needed to refinish used furniture is often more than the re-sale value for similar pieces in good condition.
Question: We are looking for the best quality sectional sleeper sofa. We need an L sectional with queen pull out mattress that can seat 6 comfortably for our ocean front condo in Ocean City, MD….
